(1) Oral Presentation of Thesis Proposal in English

The thesis proposal refers to the first three chapters of the master's thesis, including the introduction, literature review, and research methods. Students should be able to complete the proposal in the third semester. Students need to give a full English oral report on the thesis proposal during the International Business Seminar course in the same semester. The presentation will be scheduled after the mid-term exam week, starting from the 10th week. The process is explained below:

  1. Within two weeks after the beginning of the semester, fill out the "Thesis Report Application Form," including:

    (1) Requested presentation weeks: Choose any two weeks from Week 10 to Week 16, and the presentation time will be arranged by the Seminar TA.

    (2) Thesis title in English: Only the English title is required because the first report is a full English oral presentation.

    Students only need to complete the top section of the form. After the form is signed by the thesis advisor, leave the last column blank (to be signed by the Seminar instructor after the presentation), and submit it to the department office. The department office will then submit the form to the Seminar TA for storage and arrangement. Any changes to the scheduled presentation order require the consent of the thesis advisor and the Seminar instructor.

  1. Send the presentation file of the oral report to the Seminar TA one week before the presentation date.
  2. Notify your supervisor of the date and location of your oral presentation.
  3. On the day of the presentation:

(1) Choose two weeks from Week 10 to Week 16 for the presentation, and the Seminar TA will arrange the report time.

(2) Print out the slides of the presentation on paper based on the number of attending teachers on the day of the presentation.

(3) Confirm that the classroom equipment is working properly to assist with the oral presentation.

(4) If the presenter is abroad for an exchange program, internship, or other special reason on the day of the presentation, they must obtain the consent of the course teacher in advance and arrange a video conference for the report. If the report is incomplete due to poor wifi signal or improper equipment during the video conference, the course teacher may request the presenter to arrange another time for the report.

(5) After completing the presentation, confirm that the Seminar course teacher has signed the thesis report application form, and then submit it to the department office.

(6) If the English thesis proposal is not approved, it can be reported again during the semester, with a limit of one time per semester. 4. Other classroom requirements will be determined by the Seminar course teacher and communicated to the students and presenters.

(2) Final Full Presentation

Students should be able to complete their master's thesis wholly in the fourth semester, and present the final full version of their thesis in the Seminar class. The report should be presented orally, and the complete electronic version of the thesis should be submitted in English or Chinese. The report time will be arranged after the midterm exams, starting from week 10. The whole process is explained as follows:

  1. Before the midterm exams, ask the Seminar TA for the Thesis Report Application Form and complete the lower part of the form.
  2. After completing the form, sign it with the guidance of your professor, leave the last two rows blank, and submit the form to the department office. The form will be handed to the TA for arranging the report. If you want to change the order of your report, you need to obtain permission from your professor and the Seminar teacher.

  1. Send the oral presentation slides to the Seminar TA one week before the presentation date.

  2. Inform your advisor of the time and location of your presentation, and your advisor must attend the presentation.

  3. On the day of the presentation: (1) Obtain the "Thesis Report Application Form" from the Seminar TA, and print the Master's Thesis Final Report Review Opinion Form. (2) Print a paper copy of your presentation slides according to the number of attending professors on that day. (3) Confirm that the classroom equipment can smoothly assist the oral presentation. (4) If the presenter is studying abroad, interning, or has other special reasons, they must obtain the consent of the instructor in advance and arrange a video presentation on the student’s own. If the video signal is poor or the equipment is improper during the process, the instructor may require the presenter to arrange another presentation. (5) After the presentation, confirm that the Seminar instructor and advisor have signed on the "Thesis Report Application Form" and the Master's Thesis Final Report Review Opinion Form, then submit them to the department office. (6) If the full report is not passed, the student can present again during the semester, with a maximum of one attempt per semester.

  4. Other classroom requirements will be determined by the Seminar instructor and communicated to the students and presenters.

If the student cannot follow all the above time arrangements or has other special reasons, causing them to need to report the English thesis proposal and complete thesis report early or in the same semester, they must apply to the department office and explain the reasons when submitting the "Thesis Report Application Form". After the approval of the MBA committee, the student can proceed. The two report times must be at least one month apart, and the presentation time must be selected during the class time of the semester.

(一)論文計畫英文口頭報告

   論文計畫係指碩士論文的前三章,包括緒論、文獻探討、研究方法等,學生應可於第3學期完成。學生得於該學期國際企業專題研討(Seminar)課堂上進行**全英文口頭報告**,報告時間安排在期中考週之後,亦即自第10週起。整個流程說明如下:

  3. 主動告知指導教授你的口頭報告的時間與地點,指導教授當天一定要出席

    (2) 報告前依照當天出席老師人數列印投影片紙本報告。

    (3) 自行確認教室設備是否能順利協助口頭報告。

    (4) 若報告人於報告日當天正在國外進行交換、實習或其他特殊理由,則須事先徵得任課老師同意,並自行找人安排視訊方式進行報告。若視訊過程中因為訊號不佳或設備不當等因素,導致報告不完善,任課老師得要求報告人另外安排時間再次提報。

    (5) 報告完成後,確認Seminar授課老師在論文報告申請表上簽名,再交回系辦。

    (6) 若英文論文計劃未通過,得於上課期間再次報告,一學期以一次為限。

(二)論文完整報告

   學生應可於第4學期完成完整的碩士論文,學生得於該學期國際企業專題研討(Seminar)課堂上進行**口頭報告**,並繳交完整論文電子檔,中英文不限。報告時間安排在期中考週之後,亦即自第10週起。整個流程說明如下:
  1. 開學後期中考前向Seminar助教索取論文報告申請表,完成本表的下半部分

    填寫完畢請指導教授簽名之後,最後一列留白(待課堂報告完成後由Seminar授課老師簽名確認),再將本表交到系辦,由系辦統一交給助教安排保管。若想更動排定好的報告順序,需經指導教授和授課老師同意。

    (6) 若完整報告未通過,得於上課期間再次報告,一學期以一次為限。

  5. 其他課堂要求由Seminar授課老師決定後告知修課同學與報告同學。

    若學生未能遵守以上所有時間安排,或有其他特殊理由,導致需要提前或在同一學期進行英文論文計劃報告與完整論文報告,則須在繳交「論文報告申請表」時,向系辦提出申請並敍明理由,經碩士班委員會同意後始得進行。兩次報告時間至少需間隔一個月,報告時間需選擇在學期內上課時間。
